What season is appropriate to wear a red wedding dress?
My friend is getting married and wants to wear a red wedding dress. Since I had a Christmas wedding, I had also had a red wedding dress. But her plan was to get married in March. I think it’s great either way, but I was just wondering if it there was a rule as to what colors to wear for what season or if those rules even matter anymore?

well first off… its her day who cares? if she wants a march wedding and a red dress… go for it lol
but if you want me to answer i think winter is the best for a blood or deep red. if she wants to go with a more pastel red the march would be ok… fashion wise that is…

It really doesn’t matter. The only time I could see it clashing is if you had an outdoor wedding in the fall. Don’t let her spend too much time worrying about what is or isn’t acceptable for her wedding. In this day and age people are changing everything they can about weddings, so what colors go with what season and what color your wedding dress is doesn’t matter. As long as the wedding is a reflection of her and her husband and she doesn’t look back thinking “if only I did that”

Red!!!……. my favorite color i also thought to wear a red wedding dress but my fiancée hates the color and i was thinking like you a Christmas wedding or a Summer wedding so that i could add a splash of orange and yellow .Some people would say that there is an appropriate season but i say whatever the bride wants let it be unfortunately my dress isn’t gonna be red but there will be red in my wedding i choose deep red, mahogany, champagne and maybe burn orange or sage (just a suggestion) if there is a specific season for a red brides dress it shouldn’t be a bride should always get what she wants!!!

She can wear whatever color dress she wants whenever she wants. Any “rules” which might once have existed have long ago been thrown out the window. If she’s happy, she should do it!
