Maid of Honor Speech Advice! What do you Think?

I actually like the whole thing, even the advice thing to Stanley because it kind of loosens up the feeling and its not all emotional and stuff. But it still has lots of emotion in it.

It’s a nice,heartfelt speech, and a great tribute to your friends. You can give Stanley the advice, but say it with a smile and a touch of good humor. You can either read or rehearse the speech if you’re the type that gets tongue-tied. I have but one suggestion, however. In your second paragraph you say, that you and Ashley have formed a bond that is undesirable. I don’t think you mean that, as undesirable is very negative and means that the friendship is not good. Why not say, inseparable, or amazing, or fantastic? You can think of a better word. Otherwise, it’s a great speech. The couple is lucky to have you as a friend.

Good afternoon everyone, for those of you that don’t know me, I’m Jean. I am Ashley’s good friend and Maid of Honor.I have known Ashley for several years and we have formed a bond of friendship that is loving and enduring.

I thought I was well primed for today but nothing could have prepared me enough for seeing Ashley walk down the aisle. Ashley, you look absolutely beautiful.
Today is a celebration of not only where you are now, and the road ahead, but the road that has brought you here.
Ashley, you truly are an amazing woman, you are a beautiful person inside and out and you are a fantastic friend – loyal, patient, generous, and kind. It is an honor to have served today as your maid of honor and friend.

Stanley, you look quite handsome as well. I’m sure you know that you are a very lucky man to have Ashley as your wife. I couldn’t wish for a better groom for my best friend! I know you will love and care for Ashley for the rest of her life
